17 April: Kathmandu, Nepal

17 April

We were organised by Peter to go to the office at 9am. I had hoped for a motor bike ride with Kailash at 9.30am. I thought I’d be tired. To my amazement I was up at 6am and going strong. I had to ring him on Peter’s request to cancel the ride. Oh well it was meant to be is my philosophy.

We went to the office, the internet wasn’t working and the power was off. I couldn’t contact Seven Women who I wanted to do a workshop with. I didn’t mind if it didn’t happen but would do it if it was organised. It turns out it wasn’t to happen. Gordon and I did try to get internet at the Olive and Basil but that was off. Instead we spent the next hour or so talking about things we have in common. He is a clown like me and that is a compliment, he doesn’t take life seriously and his energy is very positive. We are becoming friends of like mind and it is great to meet a fellow traveller. He has a lovely wife, Maggie in Australia who I have met and I am learning all about his family and grandchildren. Really lovely to feel such friendship.

Peter and Pat came to the Olive and Basil and we had lunch together. We ended up leaving Peter at the office and returned to the hotel. It was a lazy day today. We ended up walking to the Pilgrim bookshop (famous) and checking clothes. I was very tired so happy to take it easy.

We hung around the hotel and had I had tea with Gordon. I saw a sound healer in the garden of the hotel and introduced myself. He was out on the grass and it turns out his students were all from Australia. He is into Kundalini healing. We warmly shook hands. I filmed him in action and one of the women had a reaction and was convulsing. He came and put hands over her crown chakra and heart chakra (see chakras on Google). I sent positive energy in my own way. She pretty much convulsed every 5 minutes. He used Tibetan singing bowls and a symbol. The harmonic healing process is very interesting and does work. She was gently brought out of trance and started crying. She had a smile, so I felt she had probably released something. Gordon watched with Pat and we felt something had happened. He felt he was good and so did I. The only issue I had was the price of 40,000 rupees for healing ($400 Australian dollars). I think of the universal abundance but realise people feel they need to make money. That is okay but I feel it changes their vibration, I felt that today. The healer came into the foyer of the hotel and spotted me and came straight to me. He invited me to come to his place for healing as well. I will send a subtle email to find out cost. If it is reasonable I will go, if not, I will smile and know it is not for me.  See video on YouTube of sound healing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV17k6Fx-q4

So now it is time to go down for dinner. We have another district education person from Beni coming for dinner. I came to the dinner 10 minutes later and met Kailash’s girlfriend straight away, a beautiful woman with very kind eyes. We had a wonderful inspiring conversation together. I hope we will be friends. I met the district education representative, I found him a deep man and liked him straight away. I shared about my experience as a clown and the importance of peace for children. I really know in my heart without peace we cannot make space for serving the community and finding what it is we are all here to do and be. I feel courage is important in life and FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. Our challenge is to face fear and to realise there is nothing to fear but fear itself, as the wise say. I had a wonderful conversation with my friend Gordon who is full of stories and jokes. I find myself with a permanent smile on my face, so lovely to be with likeminded people. I really am enjoying Peter he is a really lovely guy and totally dedicated to education in Nepal. Pat is a wonderful woman who is sensitive to the needs of the people and has a keen interest in the culture and how she can be of help. I so admire the people I am travelling with.

Tomorrow we head for Pokhara, I can’t wait to see the mountains, they are calling me.
