So beautiful to learn of Israeli’s focussing on bringing joy to people unwell. Moreover, they see the clowns as therapists and they invest in training in psychology so the clowns can intervene with arts.

The clowns de-escalate fear and help people overcome their situation. They can distract from great pain and bring joy into places that can be frightening. Clowns and humour can heal the pain. I’ve seen it with my own eyes the miracles of clowns in hospitals. I started my clown work in a hospital and it was the greatest joy of my life.
