Vellore Life Challenge
Vellore Life Challenge (VLC) was established by Mr & Mrs. Padmini Prasad, in April 2006. Located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, this center offers a one year residential program for the Tamil speaking population of South India.
History: Mr. & Mrs. Prasad from Vellore expressed a desire to establish a Life Challenge Center in Vellore. Following their interest, a Development Committee was formed and Vellore Life Challenge (VLC) was established in a rented school building in April 2006. Vishwabrahma, the first graduate from Bangalore Life Challenge became the Center Coordinator.
VLC is a 30 bed facility which was once a local school. Over 100 men have gone through the VLC program. VLC is now working towards buying the school building where the program runs.
The programs include: addiction recovery, family support, children’s rescue, prison freedom mission, community awareness and training and facilitation.
